Breaking the Law

If I were to break the law it will be when someone really disrespected my family or to do something that I know is right. Those two reasons will only be the reason I would ever break the law.

So This Guy Goes for a Walk

I think Ray Bradbury wrote this story to have the audience have mysterious thoughts. Basically to predict what will happen next.

My Author, My Hero

Mark Haddon is my hero because his book, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” inspired me to understand the boy’s health and how hard his dad put in effort when his wife left him.  He is an amazing writer and story teller.

In Thoreau’s Words pt.2

“Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth.”
Basically I don’t want your awards that is useless to me, give my who you are genuinely because that’s what is really important.

In Thoreau’s Words pt.1

“It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.”
This quote is stating that materialistic things do not matter in a person, noticing a persons action will define who they truly are.

Emerson essay

Make your own ideas useful. This is something I would think Ralph Waldo Emerson would have wrote in one of his quotes. He was a great American  writer and philosopher. In the 19th century he wrote a famous essay called “Self-Reliance.” A lot of people have different meaning on what his essay is about, including myself.

Emerson is a really difficult man to understand. His title is not difficult, but very confusing. Emerson’s title, “ On Self-Realiance”, to me means like check yourself deeply go into emotion about yourself.  Also to check yourself on how you’ll approach a person. The thesis about his essay is about  points in life that many humans do not acknowledge and comprehend.

Emerson’s main idea was supported with his tone by being brutally honest towards his readers. His tone was also very inspiring towards his audience. The diction he uses is very strong because he uses high end vocabulary. For example,”So God has armed youth and puberty and manhood no less with its own piquancy and charm..” Literally piquancy means pleasantly sharp and appetizing flavor. I would interpret that sentence by each person having their own style in life, by having a position they are in being good or either bad. Any person can interpret it anyway they want.

A way I can use Emerson’s idea to get through life is knowing that I am worthy and with dedication I can get anywhere. For instance, if I put so much effort in school and stay on task I know I will get in a good university. By remembering this I just need to forget about ignorant people. Dedicating myself only means that I could find anything to do be possible.

By reading my essay, you can see Emerson was a genuine and truthful man. He would tell you to screw everyone else and focus on yourself because no one else would.
